Halloween Pictures

I'm Back!! Well it has been a crazy few months, but I am fianally posting some pictures. I know Halloween was awhile ago but here is what the girls looked like.

Alyssa was a beautiful Sleeping Beauty.

Kalley made a perfect little Tinker Bell.

For Daycare I didn't trust Kalley wearing her nice Tinker Bell costume so she went as a Barbie Ballerina. Here she is with my cousins little boy who went as Spiderman.

First Day at School!

Monday was Alyssa's first day of kindergarten. All morning she said she was nervous. She worried she wouldn't have any friends. Me and Brandon both took her for her first day. He teased her that he was going to stay all day with her and she was horrified. When we left her in her class there was a girl balling for her mom not to leave her. I am so glad Alyssa isn't like that. She is the total opposite, she was pushing us out the door. Well it is four days later and she still likes school. She is pretty secretive about what she is learning. She did let it slip that a boy on her table is in love with her because he stares at her all day, and she doesn't like it!

Doesn't she look so cute all dressed up. She picked out her outfit for the first day. By the time I went to pick her up the tie and vest were stuffed in her backpack! She says she was just too hot! She sure takes after her father!

The Fourth of July in Carbon County

As a kid we always went to the fairgrounds to watch the fireworks. I would sit in the backseat of the car (fighting with my brother) and hang my head out the window to see them. Well these days they have a big too do out at the fairgrounds. My friend Melisa and her husband Ernie invited us to go with their family. They had the kids decorate cupcakes, painted their faces, tatoos, balloon animals, free hot dogs, etc. So I had to drag Brandon out in public for the holiday so our girls could enjoy the festivities!

They had a DJ playing music and some cheerleaders teaching the kids how to do the Macorana! The girls had a blast running around dancing and playing with all the other kids.

Instead of watching the fireworks from the car window, we put a blanket out on the grass and layed down out in the open and watched. All in all it was a pretty fun night. The girls had a blast! Brandon and I had a great time while watching the girls have so much fun!

The New Big Girl at the Ellis House

Well Kalley finally got the hang of it! Yea we don't have to buy diapers anymore! She is soo proud of herself. Everytime she goes she sings "yea yea good job Kalley Kalley". She made up the song all by herself. She just finished her sticker chart, so tomorrow I have to take her to Walmart and buy her a petshop house. Yes I bribed her!! But it worked!!

The Tooth Fairy Visit

Some of you may have heard Alyssa's big news! She lost her first tooth on July 8th. You would have thought she won the lottery when she woke up to find her dollar. It was worst than Christmas Eve when she put the tooth under her pillow, she was tooo excited to sleep. Then she was up at about 3 a.m. asking me if she could see if the tooth fairy had come yet!

Family Fun at Utah's Hogle Zoo!!

Well we decided to go to the zoo for vacation this year. We didn't have a lot of time or money so we thought the girls would have fun going to see the animals. Alyssa's favorite was the giraffes and Kalley liked seeing the elephants.

Well we stood in line for about ten minutes to get the girls on this rino to take a picture. Brandon waited very patiently!! Those of you who know him knows that this is not true. He is about the most impatient person I ever met, but he was pretty good since the girls were having fun.

The boy in the orange shirt behind Alyssa was about her age. I think she thought he was cute, because as I watched her going around she kept looking at him and tucking her hair behind her ears. I think she is starting to notice boys already! I am NOT ready for that. I don't think Brandon is either!

Brandon has soo much fun with his girls. I just love watching him with them. They just adore him! I can't believe what daddy girls they are.

Another Summer Sport

This summer Alyssa participated in many activities. This was her first year playing soccer. I thought she would have enjoyed it more than she did, but it wore her out running up and down the field. But she did a great job.

This is Alyssa being the goalie. She decided to stand up from doing summersalts so I could take her picture. She is also doing gymnastics this summer too, and she enjoys it much more than soccer.

Camping in the Rain!!!

For Fathers Day weekend we went camping with my parents up Huntington Canyon. Well we picked a pretty rainy weekend to go. Between rainstorms we went on 4wheeler rides and walks down to the lake. The girls has a blast and didn't want to go home, even though we spent most of the time inside watching movies and playing games. It was a great time to find out that our trailor roof leaks! (yuck)

Brandon and his girls going for a ride!

Kalley helping to put wood on the fire.

Alyssa playing in the mud!!

YUCK a worm!

The girls loved walking around finding worms that surfaced after the rain.

Our Little Ball Player!

One of Alyssa's activities during the summer is playing Peewee Baseball (tball). She can actually hit the ball pretty good when it is pitched to her. She gets soo mad when she can't hit off a pitch and has to use the T. Last week was her last game for the season. Next year Kalley will be able to play too!

Alyssa standing on third base waiting to run home.

Kalley on the sidelines cheering for her big sister.

Alyssa waiting for the perfect pitch.

Alyssa and Kalley getting ready to go to a game. Kalley decided to wear Alyssa's uniform from last year!

Dance Baby Dance!!!

This was Alyssa's first year in dance. June 6th was her very first dance recital! She did great!! She had so much fun learning all of her dances that she taught Kalley some of her new dance moves. They are both sooo cute putting on a dance performance for us almost daily.

Lazy Summer Days!!

I know it has been a long time since I posted anything but this summer has been crazy so far. This is the girls playing in the field out at my parents house. My dad didn't have any cows to graze so the grass in the field was getting pretty long. The girls sure had fun walking through it and laying down hiding from papa in it.

My Baby is Growing Up!

Today was Alyssa's last day being in preschool. Her class had a cute litte program. All the kids memorized a poem. Alyssa was the first one up, her poem was about a giraffe as you can tell by the picture she is holding up. She said it perfectly she did such a good job. I can't believe how big she is getting. It seems just like yesterday that she was my tiny baby, now she is going to be in kindergarten.

This is the girls before we went to the program. Of course Kalley had to get all dressed up too. After I got them all ready, I was in my room getting ready and I thought Kalley was with Brandon. Well she wasn't, and I couldn't hear her anywhere, so of course she was getting into trouble. Well she was downstairs on the couch with a pen drawing circles on her legs. She was just in trouble for writing on herself like two days ago so I had to give her the lecture again. I wonder how many times kids need to be told something before it sinks in.
Anyway don't the girls look so cute. I know you can't see their hair bows so great in this picture, but they are way super cute! My friend Melissa has a website where she sells these cute bows, it is www.snugglebugbowtique.com. So if anyone wants to check it out, you can see all of her way cute creations. I am so lucky she is my friend, I just take a dress over to her and tell her I need a bow to match. She always does such a great job making my girls look so cute!! So I just want her to know how much I appreciate her. (She babysits for me when I am in a jam also)

What is your two year old doing when she is being too quiet?

Well I know what you are probably thinking. That I am going to tell you some horror story of how Kalley was playing in the bathroom or climbing on top of the cupboards getting into trouble. Not that she hasn't done those things or does those things on a regular basis, but this is a cute story of her being too quiet. Last Saturday I was at work and Brandon was home watching the girls. He said they were all watching TV and Kalley quietly dissapeared, when he realized she was missing and things were too quiet, he went to see what she was into. The door to her bedroom was closed which is not a good sign! He walked in and this is what he found. Kalley was just sitting in the middle of the floor with her favorite princess blanket over her head. She was just sitting there doing nothing. When he asked her what she was doing she replied with her new favorite quote "Let me be!". So Brandon went back to his TV show.

After about five minutes or so he decided to se if she was still being good. This time he found her bundled up in her closet. She had made herself a little bed in the closet. She was in there reading herself books. I think she was trying to tell Brandon something. I think she was trying to put herself down for a nap. I bet if he would have left her alone for awhile she would have fallen asleep in the closet.

The Joys of Potty Training

Well my baby is becoming a big girl! It is about time she showed some interest in using the potty. Even if she has to be naked on the potty, at least I don't have to change as many diapers. Bribery is what makes her keep going, she gets m&m's when she uses the potty. So of course Alyssa gets an m&m when Kalley goes potty too. Alyssa is such a great helper, she will sit and read Kalley potty books while she is sitting on the potty and she claps and dances for her when she goes. I hope this will keep her going so we don't have to buy diapers anymore!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

The girls had a great start to St. Patrick's Day by eating a healthy breakfast of green eggs and apple juice from a green box. Then they dressed in their green shirts and posed for a picture. They have been practicing to say "Happy St. Patrick's Day" to everyone they see today!
